(JZ) As I am a wine writer specialising in Chinese wines, let me tell you that 2019 is an excellent year to discover China as a wine region. Since Changyu’s entry into the UK market, more Chinese fine wine brands, both large and small, are making waves on these shores. Well at least for wine lovers, Brexit doesn’t have to mean less drinking options.
For a quick introduction to Chinese wines, and three of my top picks available in the UK, here is my Channel 4 Sunday Brunch Chinese Wine feature, first broadcasted in February for the Chinese New Year celebrations. You can watch it here.
Here’s a list of UK retail stockists of Chinese wines. My selection is based on ease of online ordering. This is not an exhaustive list but does cover most, if not all, the Chinese wine brands available in the UK at present. Please do let me know of any additions or amendments that I should make to this list!
